About Us
Welcome to Kalaimagal Education and Social Integration Trust (KESIT) - a non-political, not-for-profit, secular organization that was founded in 1996 under the dynamic leadership of Mrs. S. Padmavathi. As a registered society under the Tamil Nadu Society Registration Act, KESIT has taken on the challenge of improving the quality of life for the poor, with a particular focus on marginalized communities such as the scheduled castes and tribes.
Inspired by her own personal experiences, Mrs. Padmavathi has dedicated her life to this noble cause. Today, KESIT is one of the leading voluntary organizations in Tamil Nadu, working tirelessly to uplift the rural poor through awareness generation, community mobilization via self-help approaches, economic empowerment, education, health, livelihood means through skill development and vocational training.
At KESIT, we prioritize the most neglected groups and follow a rights-based approach to our service. In particular, we place great importance on empowering marginalized women who work in agriculture and allied fields. Through our efforts, we have established linkages with nationalized banks and over 300 self-help groups, helping to provide these women with the resources and support they need to succeed.

Our Mission
Sustainable development of the communities to achieve welfare and well being of all persons irrespective of their social, cultural, economic, religious and political background, and more specifically downtrodden scheduled caste and scheduled communities by fostering self-help approach.

An equitable and just society free of poverty, violence, discrimination, race economical, religion. and man made, calamities where everyone enjoys equal rights for a peaceful living.
